Dr Chris Wholley
BDSc (W.Aust) GradDipClinDent (Melb) MDSc (Melb) FRACDS FICD
Dr Wholley is dedicated to providing excellent orthodontic care.
After graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia, Dr Wholley worked as a general dentist in the southwest for 8 years, including 4 years in his own practice. This background proves useful when orthodontic treatment needs to be coordinated with treatment by dentists and other specialists.
Dr Wholley qualified as an Orthodontist in 2001, after completing the 3 year specialist orthodontic program at the University of Melbourne. Having obtained a Masters in Dental Science (Orthodontics) and a Graduate Diploma in Dentofacial Orthopaedics, he commenced his specialist practice at Profile Orthodontics.
Since 2007, Dr Wholley has also been a Consultant at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, working in the Cleft Lip Palate Unit and the Craniofacial Unit.
Dr Wholley is interested in using 3D technologies for facial mapping. He has lectured at state, national and international level, and has published research articles in Australian and international journals.
Dr Shiva Senathirajah
BDSc(Hons) (W.Aust) DCD(Orth) (Melb) MOrth RCSEd MRACDS(Orth)
Dr Shiva Senathirajah is a Perth local who graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Dental degree with Honours, and then completed 3 years at The University of Melbourne to gain her qualifications as a Specialist Orthodontist.
Before commencing her Specialist Orthodontic training, Shiva worked as a general dentist in a Perth private practice for 6 years. She has experience at another Perth orthodontic practice, but welcomed our invitation to join Profile Orthodontics.
In addition to providing the highest standard of orthodontic care for patients, Shiva has an interest in orthodontic clinical research and has presented her research nationally at the Australian Society of Orthodontists Foundation Meeting and internationally at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Sessions and the European Orthodontic Society Congress.
Shiva participated in the Charley Schultz Resident Scholar Award programme in the USA and was also awarded first prize for the TP Postgraduate Clinical Award. She has achieved certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board and holds membership with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
In her spare time Shiva likes baking, practicing yoga, taking in the natural beauty of Perth on long walks and exploring different cultures through food, music and travel. She also enjoys dedicating her time towards serving the community through her past and current involvement with the Rotaract Club of Subiaco and Rotary.
Shiva loves being an orthodontist and feels it is a privilege to work together with patients to transform their smiles, which can be enjoyed for the rest of their lives.
Dr Luke Chow
BDS MSc(Implant Dent) DClinDent(Orth) (W.Aust) MRACDS(Orth) MOrth RCSEd
Dr Luke graduated with a Dental degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2009. He commenced work as a hospital Dental Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After a year, he transitioned into private practice as a General Dentist, adopting a CAD/CAM approach to restorative work. In 2015, Dr Luke attained a Master of Science in Implant Dentistry with distinction and has published two research papers investigating the impact of osteoporosis on dental implants.
Dr Luke’s interest in orthodontics was sparked by understanding the limitations of malpositioned teeth from both a restorative and implant perspective. After passing the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh’s MFDS Part 1 Examination, he was accepted into a 3 year full-time specialist orthodontic program at The University of Western Australia (2016-2018). Dr Luke has attained orthodontic specialist memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh by examination. He has also achieved certification with the Australasian Orthodontic Board.
Reflecting his parents’ backgrounds, Dr Luke attended primary school in Hong Kong and went to secondary boarding school in Norwich, England. He is married to an Aussie girl and they have two young children and a dog. Dr Luke enjoys photography and playing guitar.

At a full consultation, Dr Wholley will conduct a thorough examination and discuss his findings with you.
There are 3 possible outcomes from this examination:
- No treatment is needed. You can be confident that Dr Wholley will always tell you if no treatment is required.
- Treatment is needed, but first:
• Further dental and facial development needs to occur.
Your child will join our Grow With Us™ program to monitor
their growth and ensure that treatment occurs at the
right time for them.
• or, Your overall dental health needs to be improved
- Ready to start treatment - Treatment is needed and we recommend that it is the right time for you to commence.
We may recommend diagnostic records be taken either at this appointment or at another time. Diagnostic records provide the information needed to assess dentition and facial development so that a plan of treatment can be determined.
Diagnostic records may include:
- all teeth and supporting structures
- A scanning radiograph which allows examination of all teeth and supporting structures
- A profile radiograph to assess the skeletal structure of the face
- A Trios scan to produce a 3D model of your teeth
- Digital photographs
- 3D digital photographs
